Buying originals or reproductions
The hallmarks of Giclee printing include vibrant colours and rich texture, which have made it the method of choice for many artists reproducing their work. Giclee, a French word meaning to spray, involves a printing process where ink is sprayed directly onto the print surface, unlike traditional offset presses where printing plates come in contact with the surface. Giclee printing delivers reproductions that most closely reflect an original painting.
The Giclee reproductions offered here are on canvas, gallery wrapped, with the edges stretched over the sides of the two-inch art frame and fastened beneath, allowing it to be hung without a frame if one so chooses, or are printed on acid-free, 47-lb. smooth paper. All are produced with non-fade, archival-quality ink.
